Angel Gabriel of Winter

There are four archangels that hold the sacred gateways of the solstices and equinoxes. Each of them creates a magical vibration in the season following that gateway. This year, at the winter solstice the Archangel Gabriel will be holding open that gateway for us.

Gabriel comes as a force of good news, a carrier of messages of relief, a messenger from the divine reminding us that we can trust ourselves and the journey of our own lives.

Most of us know Gabrielle from the traditional story in which he announced to Mother Mary that she was carrying a child.
He stayed with her during that journey & was present for the birth of the Christ child.

From this we can see that Gabrielle comes at the season in which we each have the opportunity to welcome the birth of the Christ vibration within us. After the winter solstice, the energy begins to rise up.
As the light returns it comes up from deep in the earth and floods through our bodies.
This is why we celebrate a few days after the solstice in many traditions.
The truth of the celebration, is celebrating the rebirth of Christ light within us,
each of us having the opportunity to rebirth and we re-create ourselves.

Prior to the time of Gabrielle, we all get to practice forgiveness and letting go of things that have hurt in the season before
in order to make room, for the new inner birth.
